I took my daughter out to eat at Pancho Villa's on Brooklyn Blvd, in Brooklyn Park this evening. The food was not that good, the service was horrible, and if you don't speak Spanish, the place is not for you. I'm not Mexican, so they treated me like a red headed step child and put extra food on my bill.
When I brought it to the servers attention, she got the cook! Where is the manager? Ok ,well he knows what he just cooked since there were only 3 people there at dinner time... wonder why!
Instead of offering to take it off, he decided he would try to convince me that the order was right. I asked him what did he cook, and how many. He then told me, and was correct. I told him to take it off of my bill, he said no. This went back and forth for about 5 minutes, until I started to use some Spanish words, he then realized, well this person might win this one. He gave me my money back in change! So much for trying to culture my daughter, and a nice evening at a crappy Mexican joint.
The walls were dirty, tables had food on them, they had blinds with grease on them, and the saly and pepper shakers were grimy to the touch.
So you might think, well give t another chance... NO! I have. This is not my first time there, and there is always a problem. This time was the final draw. I didn't tip! 2 enchiladas, rice and beans for $25.00!!! Are you kidding me!
Pros: empty parking lot, empty at dinner, seat yourself
Cons: horrible service

You know you've hit the jackpot when you're the only gringo in a busy restaurant. And Pancho Villa did not disappoint! The menu is extensive, the food tasty and plentiful, and the service was spectacular!
Forget those franchises, this is it! Reviewed by dinkydogll on

The food was great. Huge servings and presentation was still kept in mind. You could taste the food at PV, unlike every other joint in town. Located in a small strip mall it is hidden between MGM and Lifetime Fitness but this place is Brooklyn Park's best kept secret. We keep going back for more!
Pros: Great food, Prices, Service
Cons: small but comfortable, no beer, wine (yet??)
